Art 2021/22
I decided to take an art class my senior year. Here are a collection of my projects
Soccer 2021
These images are from my senior soccer season with Cleveland Mens Soccer. I played primarily left and right fullback. Winning the team “warrior award”. We won second place in the PIL and 13th in the state. Reached the state quarterfinals and lost in penalty kicks to Grant.

Smoke photos sEptember 2020
This September in Portland Oregon, we had smoke from the 900,000 acres of burned forest here in Oregon. Portland has had no immediate effects and we have been pretty lucky. However due to the fires Portland has recorded the worst air quality on earth for several days. I took a few photos that I think are pretty cool and show three stages of the smoky air.
Mazama Wild 2020
This summer I had the opportunity to work for Mazama Wild summer camp. I worked as a float staff and got the chance to interact with kids of a wide range of ages. It was an amazing experience that I really did enjoy!!! If anybody from Mazamas stumbles upon this, thank you so much!! I had an amazing summer getting to work with and get to know all of you!!! I hope that our paths cross someday! Special thanks to Aspen, Tumbleweed, Snowberry, Redwood, Hamster, Willow, and an extra huge thank you to Hopper for this great opportunity!!
Trail Blazers phOtography job shadow
In early January me and my friend and classmate Elie got the awesome opportunity to follow Blazers team photographer Bruce Ely. I am so grateful for the opportunity and had an amazing time seeing what he does, and also getting to enjoy some Trail Blazers basketball, sadly all of my edited photos from this event got deleted from my school computer when COVID-19 struck so I had to settle for these select few that I shared to my phone.
South Sister Hike
On July 3rd me and my dad spent the day climbing the South Sister volcano in central Oregon. It was a difficult and fun experience, as it was my dads first ever mountaineering experience. And it took a scary turn in the afternoon when on the descent, my dad slipped and fell 30 feet down a snow slope, hitting several rocks, thankfully he was fine and just a little shaken up. Overall a great experience!
Long Exposure project
For this project I wanted to try and see what sort of cool pictures I could take at night. So I grabbed my camera, tripod and a friend and went to play with light. I wanted to have a variety of different angles and styles such as light painting, light trails and a cool sunset.
Project 1
This project was a sort of candid portrait project of various people I know doing stuff(two of them are me ;) all of them aren't necessarily what you might consider portrait photography but they are my take on portraits. I took pictures of people I know or myself in places they enjoy or doing something they love.
My brothers Weekend Sports bonanza
Had some fun this weekend recording my brother and his many teammates playing basketball and soccer. It was an awesome way to test out the DSLR.
Photos from my Mount Adams (12250') climb
My second climb was of Washington’s forgotten giant... Mount Adams. An incredibly large mountain, it took us 8 hours to reach the summit on our one day push. A really cool experience where I pushed the limits of how far I can walk in one day, we experienced a beautiful morning after a storm rocked the mountain the night before our climb and by the time we reached the summit, winds had picked back up and the lower mountain was boxed in by clouds, making for beautifull views but a worrying descent. After 6 more hours we made it back to the car only to realize we forgot to put on sunscreen......
Baseball card passion proJeCt
In my passion project I chose to take pictures of my brothers baseball team. At first I thought that it would be pretty simple but then I figured out that because of how far away you are from the players you only have a few picture opportunities. I had a great time editing in photoshop with old baseball card formats. Thank you to the Cleveland warriors 6th grade baseball team!
My MOunt Saint Helens Climb
On my first ever Mountain Climb me and two friends went up to Washington to climb Mount Saint Helens. We experienced a life changing Ly beautiful sunrise over Mount Adams and lots of great views from on a perfect bluebird day with friends.
Windows And Doors
My windows and doors photos where mainly of doors or windows that I thought where cool or made me think about myself in some way. As one of the photo’s is of a formation of trees and Bush’s that I thought looked like a door, and made me think about my own connection to nature and how you can see the same things that we build in nature. The next photo is of a doorway that is Chinese style and makes me think about my own connections to the Chinese culture in that I have studied Chinese for ten years and have many friends there. The next one is a photo of a window in my house in my room that has a ripped shade on it, when I see this picture I instantly think of home, I also thought that the dark room with only light coming from the window is very cool looking to me and could be interpreted any way you want and I like it like that. The next one is a handle that instantly reminds me of my house, it is on the front door and is the same material as all the other doors I have in my house. The final photo is of the doorbell at my house that makes me think of music and how much I love it and how we incorporate it into our doors which is very cool. Overall I don’t like the quality of images but they all mean a lot to my life and are the best I could do with the camera I have access to.
Basic Shooting Assignment
. The first picture of my basic shooting assignment is my portrait don't, and it features my brother standing in front of light post that is coming out of his head. The second image is of my dog Finn and is my correct portrait, the reason I didn't take a photo of a person was no one in my family wanted to be in my pictures but my dog was convinced. The next two are my vertical and horizontal pictures of the reed canyon near my house. Then there is a picture of my street which was one of the few leading lines I could find but I don't think it leads too well into anything and the picture quality isn't great. The next photo is of a low horizon that I found, this picture was tough because for the whole length of the project I was searching for a spot. The next picture is my macro photo of a stove top I was just getting ready for school when I realized that it would look super cool in a macro without context. Then there is the picture of a small bunch of berries that is my field of vision picture. Next is my rule of thirds photo with a duck swimming into the frame. And the last photo is of a small window that I was trying to use as a symmetrical photo but turned out a bit dry.
1 in 1800 pRojeCt
The pictures I included in my 1 in 1800 project all have some sort of meaning to me and make up parts of me and my personality. The first pictures I include are both my moms and my dads house, I put these in because my parents are divorced and so I live in both houses part time. The second pictures are from my recent backpacking trip on mt hood, the reason I included these is because I love hiking, camping, and the outdoors. This was my first time backpacking and it had special meaning because I shared it with a good friend and it was below freezing and it was When I first really started to really think about climbing my hood. The next picture I have is a picture of me on my bike on the way to school, this is important to me because it is how I get around. I also have a picture I took of the Pearl skyline because I think it is beautiful and I live in Portland. And my final picture is of Cleveland because I am a student here and I think that makes it a huge part of my life.
new York
On this trip with my brother and dad I visited the East Coast for the first time. I think I prefer the West but it was a very neat and fun trip!
Costa Rica
Photos from a family trip to Costa Rica, we primarily stayed in the town of Manuel Antonio and visited the National park located in the area.
